Talkative Little Girl

Ella has been using her voice more and more lately. It's so cute!

10 Little Monkeys

Ella loves when we read books to her. She gets really into the stories, and will squeal and squawk, and kick her legs. We think she'll be a little bookworm.

Some firsts

Yesterday morning, Ella had her first big smile. I woke up to her "talking" to herself in her basinet. I got out of bed and leaned over her. I said to her: "Good Morning!", and she greeted me back with the biggest, most beautiful smile I've ever seen. It absolutely made my heart melt. Since then, I've been trying to get her to smile again, and also have been trying to capture a smile on either camera, or video. I haven't been successful yet. Jamus has also been trying his best to get a smile out of our little girl. We'll certainly post pictures once we can capture her beautiful happy face on camera.

Jamus gave Ella her first bottle yesterday. She took right to it, easily, and wanted to chug the whole thing as quickly as possible. Jamus had to make sure she took frequent breaks for burping, and she did NOT like this at all. She wanted to get back to the business of eating.

Ella is 1 month old today!

Ella is one month old today! Sometimes it seems like she's been in our family forever, and sometimes it seems like just yesterday we were heading to the hospital to meet her for the first time. She has been a really good baby - minimal fussing, and sleeps A LOT. We're excited to see her grow in the coming months and years. Here are a few pictures of her today.

Big yawn!

Ella meets her cousins

This weekend we had some special visitors. Ella's Auntie Mary, Uncle Todd, and cousins Ava and Jack drove all the way here from New Hampshire to visit. We've been very excited to introduce our little girl to more of her family members.
Ava and Jack both were excited to hold their baby cousin. Ava said that Ella smelled "so good - just like a pizzeria!".
While the cousins were here, they visited Sesame Place, hence the face paintings on Ava and Jack in a few of the pictures. :) Ella had her first outing to get ice cream at the Zebra Striped Whale - she loved it!

Softball Game

Yesterday, Ella went to her first softball game. Jamus is playing for the intramural league at work, so we all went to cheer him on. Ella made sure to wear an appropriate outfit - her Boston Red Sox shirt! It was great weather, and we all enjoyed watching the game.
